Developjoy terms
Membership terms and billing basics
These terms describe the practical scope of the Developjoy membership so clients can understand what is included, how billing works, and when extra implementation support is billed separately.
What the membership includes
- One monthly planning session, usually around 40 minutes and flexible up to 60 minutes.
- Access to member resources such as tutorials, reusable workflow templates, and private repos.
- Guidance on what to do yourself, what to delegate, and what is worth building next.
- A simple way to approve extra implementation when deeper hands-on work is worth doing.
What it does not include by default
- Unlimited development time or guaranteed deliverables outside the included planning session.
- Managed hosting, ongoing monitoring, or production support unless separately agreed.
- Custom software builds beyond the scope of the included session without explicit approval.
- Storage of your secrets or credentials inside shared repos or templates.
Accounts and access
The free starter guide is public. Paid account access uses Clerk sign-in with Google SSO.
The paid account unlocks billing management, kickoff booking, and member-only support resources delivered through the working relationship.
You are responsible for using a billing email address you can access and for keeping that account under your control.
Billing and cancellation
The Starter plan is billed at $50 per month as a recurring Stripe subscription. It includes simple hosting for one starter site plus one simple monthly edit request. Bigger edits, SEO, ads, booking systems, custom software, and urgent support require a higher support lane or custom scope.
The first charge happens immediately when you start the membership and covers kickoff and month one.
Billing renews automatically until canceled.
Members can review support, add-ons, payment method details, invoices, and cancellation from the signed-in DevelopJoy billing area. Payment methods and invoices are handled by Stripe.
Manage membership: open billing
Unless a different written arrangement is made, cancellation stops future renewal charges and does not refund prior completed billing periods. Cancel before the next renewal date to avoid the next monthly charge.
Extra implementation support
Extra implementation work is optional and separate from the monthly membership fee.
Additional billable work starts only after explicit approval from the client, whether during the included meeting or in a follow-up thread.
When approved, extra implementation is scoped up front and billed in a separate invoice or proposal for that chunk of work.
Smaller follow-up items can be grouped into a task batch. Larger custom builds can still move into a separate proposal when they need clearer scope, deliverables, or timing.
Working model and expectations
The membership is designed to help clients make progress faster with practical AI workflows, not to create dependency on a developer for every task.
Advice, templates, and code are provided in good faith, but results depend on the client's systems, tools, approvals, data quality, and follow-through.
Clients remain responsible for reviewing business-critical changes, protecting their credentials, and deciding whether to deploy or rely on generated outputs in production.
